The learning environment (sometimes referred to as the 'Third Teacher') is more than a passive space in which learning takes place. By involving all stakeholders in the design and development process, hearing their unique needs and ambitions, and by identifying the key resources required, can an environment begin to be designed that frames and facilitates deep, natural learning.

Below you will find details of learning spaces I have helped develope to facilitate effective, 21st century learning for a variety of learners. Each space required the considered integration of technologies, tools and (often dynamic) furnishings, as well as how lighting, flooring & materials can positively impact effective creative collaboration, communication and project development. The layout and structure of each space has been optimised to support multiple modes and styles of learning while maximising engagement and access for its users. At all times the wellbeing and safety of students is at the forefront of all design decisions.
